Elizabeth Forrest - Featured Artist Nov 2, 2025 - Jan 4, 2026

Our featured artist for Small Treasures show from Nov 2, 2025 - Jan 4, 2026 is Elizabeth Forrest.

Elizabeth Forrest’s prints are studies in connection between land and water, tradition and innovation.

Her exhibition Shorelines, part of our Small Treasures show, features works created through mokuhanga, the traditional Japanese woodcut method she mastered during 11 years in Japan. Each piece reflects her love for the shorelines of lakes and oceans, and the colours, textures, and shifting light that shape them.

With decades of experience as an artist, educator, and printmaker, Elizabeth brings both precision and poetry to her craft. Through thin layers of watercolour pigment pressed onto handmade washi paper, she captures the beauty of water and time.

Elizabeth was recently interviewed by Andre Zadorozny on a podcast called The Unfinished Print. The episode can be found here, or on your favourite podcast streaming service (Spotify, Amazon, Deezer, Apple Music, etc.).

See Shorelines by Elizabeth Forrest in the Small Treasures exhibition at Artworks Gallery Guelph, 404 York Rd., on now through December 2025!
